Where the requirement is purely for on road refuelling utilising the eFuel network and technology this aspect can be addressed quite easily. AFS data analysts analyse the refuelling data to identify vehicles and sites which make persistent use of the Help Desk or record anomalies. This may indicate a problem with either the vehicle or the site and the analysts are trained to identify where the problem lies. If it is vehicle related the information is forwarded to the Service Desk who will call the customer and arrange access for a technician to inspect the vehicle and repair it if necessary. If the problem is related to the site then the information is escalated to the applicable oil company with a request that it be resolved. With the extensive network of field technicians it is seldom a problem to schedule a vehicle for repair irrespective of where it may be running in the country. Naturally the Service Desk is available should any ad hoc repair or maintenance be required.

Where a solution has been provided to a customer in a remote area where the correct functioning of the entire system is paramount, such as on mining applications, AFS provide on site technical support. The extent of this support is governed by a Service Level Agreement designed around each application to ensure the equipment is optimally maintained both from a preventative maintenance perspective as well as to address any periodic on site repairs that may be required.

In all applications the Business Intelligence analysts play a pivotal role in identifying potential problems and forwarding this information on to the Service Desk to ensure these are rapidly attended to.
